This movie contains all practical monster effects and not CGI(computer animated)! The performers that were in these suits had to sit for hours getting their makeup done every day.
It has an “old school” vibe where it feels like a classic werewolf film but with just a new spin. It is action-packed and will definitely scare you out of your skin.
Alec Gillis is the creator of the werewolf suits that are in the movie. He has a lot of creatures in movies so this was not the first of his work! Some famous movies he has made the creatures for are “Aliens”, the new “Alien”, “Predator”, “Pumpkinhead”, and the new “Prey” movie.
His work is so realistic it gives that perfect creep factor for the scare of this movie. Puerto Rico, where it was filmed, is very hot and muggy. Although, these actors and crew still went out every day and worked hard on making this movie.
Steven C. Miller’s movie “Werewolves” is rated R for violence, some gore, and language. Now, go see “Werewolves” in theaters on December 6!
