“Xo Kitty” came out with its second season on January 16 which had gotten so many fans screaming. I was most definitely one of those fans who were so excited to watch it and couldn’t stand the anticipation.
The first season came on Netflix on May 18, 2023. So it has been two years since “Xo Kitty” was first released. This is a spinoff from the movie, “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” and those movies were phenomenal.
Season one left off with a cliffhanger when Min Ho confessed his feelings to Kitty by saying that he loved her on the plane. He told her almost right after Kitty and Dae had just broken up.
Which you could tell would cause a problem between Min Ho and Dae if he found out, which is a slight hint of what happens in the next season. Season two starts off with Kitty explaining how she was able to come back to “KISS.”
This new season had so many different relationships, making you choose which one you like best for Kitty. The whole entire season I was just waiting for Kitty and Min Ho to get together!
Kitty feels really sad in the first couple episodes because of Yuri dating Juliana, Kitty’s feelings for Yuri never went away and was hard for her to get over. It made it even worse when Yuri and Kitty kiss while watching the video tape of Kitty’s mom and cousin. Kitty at some point finally is able to move on and that’s when she discovers she has feelings for Min Ho.
Kitty is really trying to figure more stuff out about her family and learn more about her mom. Another high point of the show was when Peter Kavinsky came! He is Lara Jean’s boyfriend in “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” and “Xo Kitty.”
He made a little cameo in the show where he hung out with Kitty, but also gave her some advice and helped her through what she was going through at the time.
I was so hoping he was going to tell Kitty that he and Lara Jean were going to get married. He also had told Kitty how he can tell Min Ho still has a thing for Kitty.
Peter Kavinsky would call Lara Jean “Covey” her last name, which is the same thing Min Ho does. They also all go on a ski trip where they stay in Min Ho’s dads cabin where his dad said he’d come, but he did not show up.
That hurt Min Ho because he felt his dad was always picking his other brother because that’s his favorite son. I Really enjoyed all the twists and the turns this season had. I loved the conclusion we got on Kitty finding out more about her mom.
I also loved all the references it had to the movie “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” it made me super happy. We didn’t get a Lara Jean cameo which I was bummed about, but hoping for one in the next season!
Overall, I absolutely loved this new season of “Xo Kitty” and can not wait for the next!
