I think the new Snow White movie needs a new title, “The Big Flop.” This movie did horrible in box office with 40 percent rotten tomatoes.
When I went into the movie theatre to watch the movie, I already knew it was going to be bad given that almost nobody showed up and that’s saying a LOT for a Disney movie. When I saw the trailer, I thought it was going to be a fun watch. That was, until it had started looking a bit ridiculous.
Why would they use CGI on the dwarfs for the Snow White movie? They are just taking roles away from the actors who need them. They thought they were doing it for the better, but really it was just affecting the movie and the actors.
What was also confusing was there was a smaller person in the movie but they weren’t playing the role of a dwarf. What if that person wanted to play the dwarf? Why take the roles away when you just find the people that want to play them?
So many people found things wrong with this movie, especially considering the storyline wasn’t completely the same as the original.
Not only did they change the storyline, but Rachel Zegler, the main actress, completely trashed the original movie when interviewed by just about anyone.
Within their “new and improved” storyline, the prince is not a prince, more of a Robin Hood styled thief. This movie does not focus on the love story aspect, however, the prince and Snow White still do fall in love over time.
All Zegler ever says in all her interviews is how she was scared of the original movie and only watched it twice. She says she only rewatched it recently because she had the role, but otherwise she did not like the movie.
She also talks about how the original Snow White movie is dated and calls the prince a stalker.
Rachel Zegler has no respect for the people she works for and everyone around her. She says what’s on her mind no matter the consequences and who it will affect.
Not only is she dissing the movie that her bosses made, but she is also practically saying that the movie is straight trash and hating on the people who actually enjoy the classics.
Honestly, we need to face the hard truth that Disney should just stop making live actions. Not only are they embarrassing themselves with the lack of viewers, but they are also losing a ton of money. For example, because of this amazingly horrible movie Disney has lost 115 million dollars for this movie and it won’t even be worth it.
They need to stop with live action, at least the live actions where they use CGI for people and change the entire storyline. At that point, just make a whole new movie with different characters too, Disney.
