The Los Osos girls’ soccer season is just around the corner. We are heading into a new season with a lot of things to prove. After some past disappointing years in the Baseline League, the Grizzlies are determined to make that change this year. Even though the last season wasn’t their best and the team hasn’t reached the playoffs in three years, the team is coming back with renewed motivation and focus to make their way back to the playoffs.
The Baseline League is known for being one of the top competitors in Southern California, featuring tough opponents, where effort and teamwork are paramount for every match. The league will be competing in the Division 1 bracket, where every game is going to be a tough battle. However, the Los Osos High School Girls’ Soccer team is ready for the challenge.
This season, the players and the coaches are ready for all the challenges that are coming their way.
The big focus, of course, is winning first place in the league and trying to win games, but we also want the team to get along with each other, have good chemistry, and express great sportsmanship with each other. We do not want a team that talks down on each other and doesn’t get along.
We want a team that lifts each other when we are not exactly at our best.
Every player wants a starting position, but one is not always going to get it that easily. Each player has to work and prove to their coaches why they should be a starter.
We are starting the year with a new incoming player and a new coaching staff that will help us become better both individually and as a team. We have to learn the new skills that the new coaches bring us. Every coaching style is going to be different, but they are going to help our team improve and be better this year.
Practice has begun intensely; we have players we may not be fond of, but the preparation will help prepare us for the tough season that is coming our way.
We all know what is at stake. It is not just about winning; it is also about improving as a team and proving to ourselves that we can compete with any team that comes our way.
As a team, we know that we may not have had the best season last year, but our team is going to improve and build stronger relationships with each other. The team is going to learn to trust one another and have each other’s backs when someone needs it. We Grizzlies are not focused on the past; we are focused on the future and what is to come..
The team understands that success is not going to come easy. We have to work and make progress every day, working to improve as a team. The girls’ soccer team is working on improving our record and also setting goals for the season so that we will achieve those goals no matter what happens.
The season ahead of us isn’t going to be easy, but we can definitely persevere and get through the rough patch because we are going to work hard every day to make this season a great season. We are going to work as hard as we can to reach our goal of making the playoffs, even if we know that it is not going to be easy.
But we are willing to fight no matter what happens.
