The Los Osos High School baseball team has faced a challenging 2025–26 season, as shown by their current record and overall performance.
According to their latest schedule update, Los Osos holds an overall record of 8–15. In Baseline League play, they are 3–7, placing them fifth in the league standings. Taking a look at their performance shows differences depending on where they played.
At home, Los Osos has a balanced record of 4–4, showing they are more competitive on their own field.
However, their struggles are more noticeable in away games, where they are 2–7.
In neutral-site games, they have gone 2–4.
These numbers show that while the team can compete, maintaining consistency, especially on the road, has been a challenge this season.
Scoring has also played a major role in the team’s results.
Los Osos has scored a total of 81 runs this season, while allowing 175 runs. This gap between runs scored and runs allowed has made it difficult for the team to win games consistently.
Even when they are able to put runs on the board, limiting their opponents’ scoring has been an ongoing issue.
“We have been doing poorly lately, but we are still at practice, showing up after every game, showing we care about the game,” said Sophomore Jacob Pimentel.
The team is also currently on a one-game losing streak, which shows the ups and downs they have experienced throughout the season.
Despite this, they still have important games remaining. One of their upcoming match-ups is against Upland, a strong opponent with a 13-8-2 record. Games like this are important, as they give Los Osos opportunities to improve their standing and compete against top teams in their league.
Overall, the season has been a tough one for Los Osos, with challenges in consistency, scoring, and defense.
However, their even record at home shows that they are capable of competing at a higher level.
With several games still left to play, the team will look to improve its performance and finish the season on a stronger note.
We have complete faith in them, and they have already proven their capability to win.
No matter what, we are so proud of our baseball team, and cheer them on as they continue their season!
