Celcius Flavors

Although the brand has been around since 2005, Celsius energy drinks really started to take off in the early 2010s. They have become incredibly popular among teenagers in recent years.

With 24 flavors and a presence at every gym and grocery store in town, the Boca Raton-based company has undoubtedly changed over time. Celsius energy drinks have a variety of options available and rating them is the only way to determine which ones are worth tasting and which ones you should leave on the shelf.

First and foremost, the absolute worst flavor is Grapefruit Melon Green Tea. I hate grapefruit, it tastes bitter and vulgar.

Kiwi Guava takes second to last place. Don’t let the kiwi fool you, the guava is all you can taste. It’s actually horrendous, the best way to describe it is liquid acid.

Next in line is no surprise being that it’s Strawberry Guava. It’s the same thing as Kiwi Guava, no strawberry just guava; Celsius needs to gain some originality.

Somehow number 20 is Cola. You’d expect this to be absolute dog poop, but it just tastes like knock-off Coca-Cola.

Grape Rush and Cosmic Vibe are neck-and-neck because they literally taste the same, except for the fact that Cosmic Vibe tastes like a unicorn’s vomit. Celsius, despite having no sugar, somehow sends me on a sugar high with one sip. Therefore, Grape Rush is above Cosmic Vibe.

Fantasy Vibe is in 17 place. It is literally an orange creamsicle gone acidic, but I can drink it.

The next spot is held especially for Fuji Apple Pear. It isn’t treacherous, but it isn’t amazing.

Orange Pomegranate was the most disappointing of them all. I got it and expected it to be my new favorite, but it was uncarbonated, so there is no escape from the actual taste. For it to have been higher on my list, it would need an excellent flavor, and it simply tastes like expired orange juice.

In contrast, Lemon Lime takes 14 place because it was pleasantly surprising. I expected a tart, bitter, pungent taste in my mouth, but it was refreshing like a carbonated lemonade. Now was it amazing? No. Was it that good? No. Was it better than Grapefruit? Always, anything is.

13 and 12 are the most average Celsius drinks ever. They’re nothing special. I wouldn’t purchase them, but I would drink them and somewhat enjoy myself if I had to.

Cucumber Lime is similar to Lemon Lime but better. It also surprised me because lime is a little scary, especially when it’s not paired with a sweet fruit like peach, strawberry, or watermelon.

I didn’t know what number ten initially entailed. Oasis Vibe gave me no clue as to what the flavor would be; it was good, though, like pear lemonade.

Now getting to the good part. Green Apple Cherry is actually so good. It’s not too sweet and not too bitter, just perfect, but alas. there is better.

Peach Vibe is usually a hit or miss because it can be quite sweet, but when it’s a hit, it’s absolutely amazing.

Taking seventh place is Watermelon Berry due to the fact it’s really good, but I expected so much more. I pleasantly enjoyed the flavor. The fact that the watermelon Celsius is so life-changing made me think this would take it to the next level.

Arctic Vibe, if you can’t tell by the name, is a berry-like flavor. I’m not really a fan of most berries, but this drink is good. Just really nice and a little sweet.

The top five were incredibly difficult to choose, but somehow I managed. Orange sadly is the worst of the best. It’s a classic–so simple yet so amazing. Carbonated orange juice, but in the best way.

Peach Mango Green Tea (fourth) and Mango Passion Fruit (third) were neck and neck, but the non-carbonation of the Peach Mango Green Tea makes it a little worse. Both, however, take my taste buds on a pleasant rollercoaster. The peach mango and green tea together create the perfect balance of flavors. The mango passionfruit is an undeniably good match.

Now second place deserves a drumroll and dramatic pause. Watermelon. That is all I have to say, but I will add that it reigned supreme due to the mouthwatering combination of sweet and energizing flavors.

Alas, the most life-changing, the most taste-inducing, the best Celsius is the Strawberry Lemonade Celsius. Where do I even begin? Maybe I can start with the perfect level of refreshingness and balance between strawberry and lemonade. It’s not too sweet, which tends to be an issue with Celsius, and not too acidic. I actually will always choose this flavor no matter what, making it the best.
