Knotts Scary Farm and Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights are both spine-chilling parks to go to around Halloween. Both of these parks really are a scream for joy.
Halloween Horror Nights is an annual Halloween theme park at Universal Studios that many people await excitedly for in October. It consists of movie set quality mazes, scare areas where shows are put on, and a Terror Tram that takes people to different areas of the park.
Each year there is a different theme, where the park is based on popular scary movies. This year the theme is “A Quiet Place,” since the new one just got released earlier this year. There will be a haunted house that includes ideas and scenes from the “Quiet Place” movies.
On the website “USA Today” it states, “For the first time, the beloved bi-coastal event will feature a haunted house incorporating American Sign Language. Inspired by “A Quiet Place,” the house will reflect deaf experiences like the franchise’s first and second films.”
This year, Halloween Horror Nights would like to incorporate the deaf experiences from both of the “Quiet Place” movies with their movie set quality mazes.
This year there are eight new haunted mazes, with several scare zones that will definitely chill you to the bone. There is also the famous Terror Tram that appears on several random nights from September 5 to November 3.
This Terror Tram will take you through the park on a tram and along the way, many scareactors are jumping out to spook you out. The scareactors are not allowed to touch you, and you are not allowed to touch them either. Although they may not respect your personal space they are still not able to touch you.
Halloween Horror Nights is a great place to get spooked by going into haunted mazes and going onto the Terror Tram around Halloween.
Knotts Scary Farm all started on an evening in October when a thick hazy fog went over Knotts Berry Farm and changed history. That then made Knotts Scary Farm the first-ever Halloween theme park event in 1973.
The two new mazes this year are the Eight Fingers Nine: The Boogeyman and Widows. A Maze that leaves people unsettled is Ten Chilling Chambers, which began in 1977.
There are 10 mazes located in the whole park, meanwhile, there are five scare zones and several show favorites. There are also indoor and outdoor mazes if you have a certain preference.
If you are someone who doesn’t like standing in lines and prefers walking right in, then get the Fright & Fast Lane. A ticket for each person for the Fright & Fast lane is $150.
Knotts Scary Farm started on September 19 and will be coming to an end on November 2. Knotts Scary Farm is not recommended for kids under the age of 13.
The actors are not allowed to touch or grab you in any way while walking past you or in the mazes. The actors do get very close to you or your face, so make sure to be aware of that.
