We build servant leaders. Our desire is to help every student and staff be the best version of themselves.
Although we do this in a multitude of ways, Los Osos will expect that we provide student activities for the Los
Osos student body, staff and community. We support and encourage all student organizations on campus
including sports, clubs, publications, student support classes, and performing arts.
We want those who are looking to be one of six students at Los Osos to lead a class of close to 60 students to
help every student and staff be the best version of themselves. You will do this by making decisions (some
tough, some fun, some significant), planning activities, encouraging classmates, modeling appropriate behavior,
being held accountable, and holding others accountable. You will have direct access to the advisor and assistant
advisor. With that, the advisor and assistant advisor will communicate with you, on the Band App or via
Microsoft Teams outside of normal office hours.

Students meeting the requirements for an executive position will need to complete this application, along with
a cover letter and resume, and signed CJUHSD Code of Conduct and submit it to Mr. Tawney by 3:30 PM
on February 15th, 2024. Applicants will then need to come to the cafeteria for interviews between 4-8 on
Tuesday February 20, 2024. Sample questions and scoring criteria can be found below. You are encouraged to
create a resume or pamphlet of some sort for the interviews. Please have 6 copies available. If copy services are
needed, candidates can create black and white copies in the ASB room.
These dates are optional. Missing the photo day will mean you do not have a picture on the ballot.
Missing the 30 second video recording will mean you will not have a video on the WILD Report. Missing
the packet deadline will disqualify you from running.

It is the desire of the ASB advisor to take part in the California Association of Student Leaders conference on
April 13-15, 2024. This is held in Ontario, CA. The cost is about $450 per student.
It is also the desire of the ASB advisor to take part in the Leadership Conference hosted by Leadership
Inspirations in July, 2024. This conference is at Cal Poly Pomona and is about $450 per student.
Inability to attend either of these two events will not result in disqualification to hold an executive position.
ASB will work with students to smooth the financial burdens of attending these events.
